According to report, Dawood, wife Mehjabeen Shaikh, son Moeen Nawaz and daughters Mahrukh, Mehreen and Mazia are in Clifton, a suburb located in Karachi. His son Moeen is married to Sania while daughter Mahrukh is married to Junaid, son of former Pakistan cricket captain Javed Miandad.

Dawood has three Pakistani passports with two more residential addresses – 6A, Khayaban Tanzeem, Phase 5, Defence Housing Area and Moin Palace, II floor, Near Abdullah Shah Ghazi Dargah, Clifton.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is likely to confront Pakistan over Dawood.

If NSAs of India and Pakistan meet on August 23 in New Delhi, as per the schedule, Indian side could also bring up terror cases related to wanted gangster and mastermind of 1993 Mumbai blasts Dawood Ibrahim during the meeting, which was agreed to at the meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Ufa in Russia last month.

Dawood is the prime accused in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai. The blasts, which Dawood is said to have engineered in cahoots with the ISI and associates like Tiger Memon, saw locations like the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Air India building at Nariman Point, and the fishermens’ colony at Mahim being targeted. The attacks led to 257 people being killed and over 700 injured.

The United Nations Security Council has also issued a special notice No.U-65/4-2006 against him.

Earlier in May, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, had ruled out New Delhi’s assertion that 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim is in the safe haven of Islamabad.
