IIT Roorkee has begun the admission process for its Ph.D programmes for the upcoming academic session. The university is offering full time and part time Doctor of Philosophy courses. The interested and eligible candidates may apply according to the prescribed format.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates must have a Master’s degree or its equivalent recognised university or institute
Their qualifying degree should be in the subject in which the candidate chooses to pursue the Ph.D
They should have a minimum score of 60 percent in their qualifying degree, or a CGPA of 6.5 on a scale of 10

The candidates can apply online at the official site of the institute, www.iitr.ac.in.
A printout of the duly filled-in application form should be sent to ‘The Chairman, PG Admission, PG Admission Office, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee- 247667, Uttarakhand’.
Application fee:
The candidates under the General and OBC category have to pay a fee of Rs 200, and those under the SC, ST and PwD categories have to pay Rs 100. They are required to download the bank challan from the official website and make the payment at any branch of State Bank of India.
Selection procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and an interview round.
