“The ever rising prices of almost all essential commodities and uncontrolled inflation in the Congress rule have broken the backbone of common people and they have become “handicapped” in handling the day-to-day life and finding it very difficult to meet both ends. People are hassled and fed up with corruption at every level,” Gadkari said while addressing a conference organized by Bharatiya Janata Kamgar Mahasangh.

Nagpur News: The BJP candidate for Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, Nitin Gadkari, assured all categories of labourers, workers and employees that he would strive hard in resolving their various problems and support them in their difficult times. Gadkari was addressing a conference organized by Bharatiya Janata Kamgar Mahasangh and was attended by thousands of workers who pledged their support to Gadkari in the Lok Sabha elections. The conference was held at Sant Ravidas Sabhagruha near Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar on Friday (March 21).

“The ever rising prices of almost all essential commodities and uncontrolled inflation in the Congress rule have broken the backbone of common people and they have become “handicapped” in handling the day-to-day life and finding it very difficult to meet both ends. People are hassled and fed up with corruption at every level. This Government will have to be ousted as it has totally failed to provide employment to labourers and other classes of people. If the BJP comes to power at the Centre, the Government will provide houses for labourers in Rs 10 lakh and for that they will be given bank loans at minimum interest rates. Moreover, there will be no stamp duty on Rs 10 lakh houses. The Congress had coined a slogan “Soniaji ayengi, ghar ghar me roshani layegi” (Sonia will come and brighten every house). ‘Soniaji had come but taken away the light’. The children of labourers are being forced to study in the dark and thus making their future dark, too. I am not giving assurances as an election speech and for garnering votes. We have constructed smaller houses for poor labourers in Butibori at the cost of Rs 5-6 lakh,” Gadkari asserted.

The conference was presided over by the President of Nagpur District Unit of Bharatiya Janata Kamgar Mahasangh Virendrapratap (Sonu) Sharma. Others who were present on the dais and spoke on the occasion include National Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Kamgar Mahasangh Gopal Patil, Maharashtra Unit President Sanjay Kenekar, City BJP President Krishna Khopde, Rural BJP President Dr Rajiv Potdar, Organising Secretary Shrikant Deshpande, Milind Deshpande, Tekchand Savarkar, and others.

The office-bearers of Nagpur Unit of Bharatiya Janata Kamgar Mahasangh like Working President Ishwar Rai, District General Secretary Rajkumar Sharma, Razzak Quereshi, Rajesh Rangari, Rajkumar Mishra, Rajesh Purohit, Rukhmatai Bahadure, Manish Gajbhiye, Vasundhara Rai, Sanjay Kuber, Kashinath Nikhare, Ratnakar Sherekar, Sudhakar Meshram, Radha Tiwari, Ramkrishna Revatkar, and others worked hard for success of the programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Manisha Gajbhiye.
