Nagpur: Mankapur police have booked husband and his friend on the charges of torturing a woman and abetting her to commit suicide.
Shubhrata Chandrakant Musale (26), resident of Plot No. 35, behind Vishal Sabhagruha, Mankapur, had ended her life by hanging to a ceiling fan with the help of odhni between March 23 and 24 , 2017. Cops at that time had registered a case of accidental death and launched a detailed probe.
Subsequent investigations revealed that Shubhrata’s husband Chandrakant alias Ashish Musale (35) and his friend Abhilash Vinod Gangane (25), resident of Mangalwaripeth, Tehsil Umred, District Nagpur, were subjecting her to mental and physical torture over one issue or another. Fed up with the frequent harassment, Shubhrata ended her life in March 2017.
Mankapur PSI D M Chaudhary, based on the complaint lodged by Shubhrata’s father Nagbhushan Bhimraj Bhushanwar (62) of Gadgebaba Nagar and probe report, booked the two accused Chandrakant Musale and Abhilash Gangane under Section 306 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
