Hubby bludgeons wife to death using LPG cylinder in Hudkeshwar, Nagpur

Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a middle-aged man reportedly bludgeoned his wife to death using an LPG cylinder at their home in Take Off City Garden society in Hudkeshwar area, here, in the early hours of Monday.

According to police sources, the accused husband, Sameer Mohammad Hanif Ansari (48), and the deceased Nayyar Shafi Khan (35), were residents of Flat No. 506, 5th Floor, E Wing, Take Off City Garden, in Hudkeshwar.

Sameer owns a fabrication business while Nayyar was a housewife. The duo had married seven years back but had no child. In the past two years, they have had shared some arguments over a domestic feud.

Two days ago, an argument occurred between them, due to which both were mad at each other. On Monday, at around 2 am, Sammer woke up, picked up the LPG cylinder, and bludgeoned Nayyar’s head four to five times. Then, he went to sleep again.

In the morning, he woke up and approached Wathoda Police Station, confessing to the crime. Cops subsequently alerted the Police Control Room, following which the squad from Hudkeshwar Police Station rushed to Ansari’s house only to find Nayyar lying in a pool of blood.

Meanwhile, the police have booked the accused husband under Section 302 of the IPC. Further investigations are ongoing.
