Nagpur: The Leader of Opposition in Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil on Day-1 of second week of Winter Session sought to put Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is also holding Home portfolio, and two Ministers of State (Home) in the dock during debate on Naxal menace in Gadchiroli District. “How many times the CM and the two ministers visited the Naxal-hit district?”
“The Home Minister in the previous (Congress-NCP) Government R R Patil had decided to become Guardian Minister of the Naxal-affected District. He used to regularly visit the area and had started numerous schemes and undertaken remedial measures.
A proposal to set up wireless machinery in the area was drawn by R R Patil. The proposal is gathering dusts with the present government. Now, need is to implement the old and new schemes and initiate effective remedial measures in the Naxal-prone Gadchiroli District,” Vikhe Patil said.
