Honey Batra finishes second in All India CA exam; aims to crack UPSC next

Honey BatraIt is a matter of pride for Vidarbha region as Honey Batra of Wardha has secured the 2nd All India Rank in CA CPT (Foundation) Examination. Honey has secured 196 marks out of 200, wherein he scored 40out of 40 in Law and 50 out 50 in quantitative aptitude. It’s the highest ever CPT score from Nagpur region.

Honey has been a brilliant student throughout. He scored 96.60% in Std. X with 100 marks in Mathematics and 97% in Std. XII Commerce. He is from Wardha and completed his schooling from Bhavan’s Lloyds Vidya Niketan, Wardha, and 12th from Bhavans Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Nagpur.

Honey had a well planned approach towards studies, and always studied conceptually, without bothering about the marks.
While Speaking with Nagpur Today, Honey shared his happiness and future plans
“To score high, you must learn new things and increase your depth each time you read. It is the journey that matters, not the destination. I would advice to set targets for yourself, work hard, listen to your inner voice, and then everything will be fine,” Says Honey.

Honey had been preparing for CPT from class 11 itself. He had joined CAPs coaching classes. During his successful test series stint with CAP it became sure to him that he can secure his dream of all India top rankings. His elder brothers were also toppers from the city, previously.

During his schools days honey wanted to be a Doctor but when he was in class 10th, he gave a serious thought and planned that he would pursue commerce. Mathematics and Economics are his favourite subjects and he will be doing his Commerce (Honors) from the prestigious Shree Ram college of commerce, Delhi. However, he wanted to do Economic Honors but he could not get the seat.

As regards to his studies strategy, honey focused on concentrating difficult topics and interesting subjects first. Being a slow reader he relied on SWOT analysis studying according to strength and weaknesses and would balance the subjects.

The best part about his success story is unlike his peers, he does not have a Whatsapp or Facebook account, rather he loves to read motivational books and listening to music.

His brother’s have been a great support and guidance to him, said Honey.
Honey’s role model is his grandfather Mukundlal Batra who is the Director of Wardha Nagrik bank & his brother, CA. Neeraj Batra, a practicing Chartered Accountant, who himself has had a brilliant academic record.

He lives in a joint family with 9 members including his 2 brothers, 1 sister, grandfather and paternal Uncle & Aunt. He gives the credit of his success to his parents, family members, teachers and friends.

His Father Sudhir Batra is Businessmen and Mother Sudhir Batra is a housewife.
He will be joining Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi for pursuing B.Com (Hons) soon.
