Hit and run: Woman killed, son hurt by car, driven by a reckless woman, in Byramji Town

In a hit and run case, a woman was killed and her son injured seriously when the moped they were riding in was rammed by an unidentified car in Byramji Town. The car was being driven by a woman. Cops have booked the accused woman driver and launched a hunt to nab her.

The victims, Rukhsana Khan Nissar Ahmed Khan (38) and her Arbaz Khan Nissar Ahmed Khan (22), both residents of Plot No. 34, Teachers Colony, Jafer Nagar, Nagpur were returning home on their Dio Moped (MH-31/VS 9832) around 10.30 am on Sunday. When both were passing through Byramji Town, a white-coloured car, driven by an unidentified woman, hit their moped and ran away. The forceful impact left Rukhsana and Arbaz seriously injured. The mother-son duo was rushed to Dhantoli-based Shrikrishna Hospital by passersby. However, Rukhsana succumbed to her injuries in the morning of Tuesday while undergoing treatment while Arbaz is battling for life.

Sadar PSI Pendkar, based on a complaint filed by Nissar Ahmed Jafer Khan, has booked the unidentified accused woman under Sections 279, 337, 338, 304(A) of the IPC and Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and launched a search to nab her.
