Nagpur: City police seems to be on a raiding spree to bust sex rackets in the city for the last few weeks. During which, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of crime branch busted yet another high profile sex racket in the renowned Empress Mall.
The sex racket was being run inside Phoenix Spa Centre on the first floor of the mall. Police have booked four accused and rescued Nepal and Bhilai based women.
“Police have booked accused Faizan Raees Sheikh, Manish Lanjewar, Derek Manchendo and Tanvi Chotliya. All are absconding,” informed DCP Nilesh Bharne while addressing the press conference on Saturday.
“The accused Faizan used to travel in the rural areas of nearby states. He would take advantage of the poor financial condition of the victims by promising them a job in Orange city and forced them into prostitution,” added DCP.
All the accused have been booked under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further probe is underway.
