Nagpur: The Govt. of Maharashtra has declared Amnesty Scheme for enrollment under Professional Tax Act. All persons engaged in trade and profession can take benefit of the same. The wholesale markets of tax-free goods like grains, cloth are situated in East Nagpur. Likewise many service provider as brokers, commission agent are having office in East part of Nagpur. For benefit of all these traders, a help desk for professional tax was very much needed.
A delegation under leadership of National President Confederation of All India Trader, New Delhi B C Bhartia meet Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax P K Agrawal and requested him to setup a help desk for professional tax. This was required to short out the difficulties arise to many businessman due to multiple notices from Professional Tax Department and also for the traders to take benefit of Professional Tax Amnesty Scheme.
Bhartia had assured Agrawal that CAIT will provide its office with all necessary amenities for setting up help desk. President of Team CAIT Nagpur Kishor Dharashivkar had also assured that all the members of Team CAIT will do the job of advertising about the same.
Considering the demands of trade community, Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax P K Agrawal had given his consent for opening help desk of Professional Tax at TEAM CAIT OFFICE.
As per assurance from the Sales Tax department, a Help Desk will be opened on September 14, 2016, Wednesday at CAIT Office 5th floor, “Sadoday” 77, Central Avenue, Near Gandhiputla, Nagpur. National President Confederation of All India Traders B C Bhartia, President Kishor Dharashivkar, Vice President Prabhakar Deshmukh, Organising Secretary TEAM CAIT Nagpur Nikhilesh Thakar and Ladies Wing President Asha Pande had appealed all to take benefit of the help desk. The persons wanting to take benefit of the help desk should come with the notice form department & relevant papers.
