Nagpur: Panic gripped construction workers at a site near Rohan Sanjay Bhatt’s residence in Wanadongri, Hingna tehsil, after a snake suddenly surfaced during ongoing construction work. The scare, however, ended on a reassuring note after snake rescuers identified the reptile as a non-venomous Russell’s viper-like species locally known as Mandul and safely relocated it to its natural habitat.
The incident occurred when a worker spotted the snake at the construction site, triggering alarm among labourers working there.
Supervisor Mahesh Nandeshwar acted promptly and contacted snake rescuers Himanshu Surjuse and Akash Meshram, informing them about the reptile’s presence.
The rescuers soon reached the spot and carefully examined the snake. They identified it as a Mandul, a non-venomous species, and proceeded with a cautious rescue operation.
The snake was subsequently released safely into its natural habitat, bringing relief to the frightened workers.
The prompt intervention of the snake rescuers prevented the situation from escalating and ensured the reptile was handled without harm.
