Nagpur: Nagpur Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has organized a workshop on GST for all the stakeholders and employees of MIHAN India Limited and Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd (MADC). As a part of social awareness campaign, Nagpur Branch is organizing multiple programs for the members of trade and Industry to keep them aware about the various developments taking place under GST.

CA. Julfesh Shah, Member of PR & CSR Committee of ICAI, New Delhi said that there are multiple challenges that may be faced during the implementation phase of GST. In spite of all the challenges, the Goods & Service Tax will be benefiting the Industrial Sector of Central India due to its geographical location and which in turn will benefit the various other sectors and the growth of the region. Proper planning and professional advice is of utmost important to avoid any violations by the trade and industry. GST has proven results in multiple countries across the globe and with time it will have a positive impact in India as well.

Chairman of Nagpur Branch of ICAI, CA. Sandeep Jotwani mentioned that Nagpur Branch of ICAI is taking all efforts to take GST to every interested person. Though GST is a very big opportunity for the profession but CA’s are looking at it as a responsibility as well for which various social initiative are being taken. He added that during the transition phase, there may be multiple challenges but with time, this challenges will give due returns in due course of time. He appealed to take the benefit of GST Seva Kendra at ICAI Bhawan, Dhantoli which is also providing free consultancy to general public for the matters on GST.
