Nagpur: A group of local passengers, popularly called ‘Up and Down’ passengers, on Thursday created ruckus at Wardha Station and blocked Vidarbha Express for over 40 minutes. The pass-holding passengers were protesting against the routine ticket checking in reserved compartments. Hundreds of local passengers from Badnera, Dhamangaon, Pulgaon, and Wardha travel daily. The ‘Up and Down’ passengers faced eviction from reserved bogies on daily basis.
On Thursday, the “fed up” local passengers gave went to their ire and blocked Vidarbha Express at Wardha Station for 40 minutes throwing rail traffic haywire for some time.
