Group of 6 women go on rampage in Gopal Nagar

Nagpur: A group of women on Wednesday went on a rampage in Gopal Nagar area and bashed up a woman who husband had reportedly sent a NIT squad to remove encroachments that were erected by the accused ladies. Six of the ruckus-creating women have been booked.

The group of six accused namely Lalita Tabhane, Anita Chahande, Sangeeta Meshram, Ranjana Nagdeve, Sunita Nagdeve, and Manjusha Dahat, all residents of Matey Chowk, Gopal Nagar, on Wednesday afternoon stormed the house of Vanita Rajesh Gaekwad of the same area and started ransacking households. The six accused woman also indulged in abusing and beating Vanita severely. The wrath of the accused women was targeted on Vanita as her husband had reportedly summoned a NIT squad and removed the encroachments erected by them. Vanita registered a case with Pratapnagar Police Station against the accused women.

Woman PSI Godmale has booked the six women under Sections 143, 147, 149, 323, 427, 504 of IPC and started a probe into the matter.
