Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Saturday paid tributes to Gond Raje Bakth Bulandshaha Uike on his birth anniversary and Chimasaheb Bhonsale on his death anniversary. Deputy Mayor Satish Holay garlanded the statue of Gond Raje at Vidhan Bhavan Square and paid his homage. Former Mayor Mayatai Ivnate, Rajesh Wasnik, Devendra Borkar, Chhotu Ivnate and others were present on the occasion.
Chimasaheb Bhonsale remembered:
Senior freedom fighter and former Corporator Chimasaheb Bhonsale was remembered on his death anniversary today. Deputy Mayor Satish Holay laid wreath at the statue of Bhonsale at Chhota Tajbagh while paying his tributes. Prabhakar Bhonsale, Dr Sambhaji Bhonsale, Vikarm Bhonsale, Ranjit Bhonsale, Sanjay Satpute, Reeta Bhivalkar and others were present. On the occasion, members of Chimasaheb Bhonsale Vyayam Shala presented demonstrations of sword fighting, lathi skills etc.
