Nagpur: In yet another house-breaking, gold ornaments worth Rs 4.71 lakh were stolen from a residence in Manewada locality under Hudkeshwar police jurisdiction on Tuesday.
A resident of Plot No. 3, Geetanagar, Besa, Manewada, Monali Suraj Shirbhate (30), along with family members, had gone to attend a marriage on Tuesday.
Between 10.45 am and 6.30 pm, an unidentified burglar opened the main door lock, entered the bedroom and laid his hands on gold ornaments worth Rs 4.71 lakh kept in a wooden cupboard. Noticing the theft on her return, Monali registered a case with police.
Hudkeshwar API Pardhi booked the unidentified burglar under Sections 454, 380 of the IPC and launched a search for the criminal.
