GNIT students undertake industrial visit

Nagpur: Industrial visit was organised recently for VII semester Mechanical Engineering Students of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology at Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, central workshop, M.I.D.C. Hingna Road, Nagpur.

This Industrial visit helped the students to grasp the practical knowledge related to Automobile Engineering with more emphasis on Advanced Internal Combustion Engine.  Mr. P. V. Chintakuntalwar, Supervisor Engine Section demonstrated and explained  various sections of the workshop. Initially he demonstrated the entire dismantalling of the engine. Students were also informed about manufacturing of buses. The raw material needed for building the state trasport buses are manufactured at workshop. This was also practically introduced to the students.

The industrial visit helped the students a lot. The industrial visit was arranged under the guidance of  Dr. Prashant  Washimkar, head  Mechanical Engineering. Er. Shamal Chakrabarty worked hard for successful organisation of the visit.

The students were accompanied by Er. Sulas Borkar and Er. Narendra Wadaskar. Sardar Navneet Singh Tuli CMD GNI, Tanpreet Kaur Tuli  MD GNI,  Dr. Narendra Kanhe Principal GNIT and Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava CEO GNI appreciated the effort taken by the staff.
