Nagpur: Gittikhadan Police on Wednesday arrested three of the four anti-socials,including a hardcore criminal, planning to commit a major crime in the city and seized a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, someshar pedged weapons and a Tavera car (MH-31/EK-8546) collectively worthRs 4.27lakh from their possession.
Cops also took a juvenile delinquent into custody. The accused have been identified as Kuldip singh alias Shashidhar Pinnu Pandey (28), a resident of Anant Nagar, Gittikhadan, Dharamvir Shrirao Chavan(30)and Pawan Mohanlal Pali(22),both residents of Palotti Nagar, Mankapur and a 17-year old boy.
Another accused Osama, a resident Jafar Nagar, managed to giveaslip to the cops. Kuldipsingh was externed from the city on July 27. However, he violated the externment orders and continued indulging in criminal activities.
Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II)Chinmay Pandit, a special squad of Gittikhadan Police nabbed the accused from an open ground near behind Kabir Kuti, Sant Niwas on Beriwala Nana Dargah road. Cops surrounded accused and nabbed them.
During their physical search, police found a country-made pistol,three rounds, packets of chilli powder, two knives, a rope, a wooden rod and other material. AnoffenceunderSections399, 402 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 3, 4/25 of the Arms Act, 135, 142 of Maharashtra Police Act, has been registered against the accused persons.
