Board of Studies of ICAI organized a two day National Conference for CA Pursuing Students which was jointed hosted by Nagpur & Goa Branch of WICASA, recently at Goa. The conference was very well received with over 200 students across the country participated in the event.
The basic theme of the conference was “Knowledge & Training with Ethical Quotient – Pathway to Professional Excellence”. The board of studies had been organizing such events for the benefit of students at large wherein the CA pursuing students get a chance to present their papers on technical topics. The structure of the conference is such that the 12 paper presenters are selected from hundreds of papers and the selected students gets a chance to present it to the student audience and panel of judges.
Chief Guest for this two day conference was Past Chairman – CA. Santosh Kenkre. CA. Kenkre had been first chairman who had started this tradition of joint conferences and had hosted first such conference in the year 1998 wherein over 600 students had participated. Mr. Kenkre motivated students with his words of wisdom and encouraged students to become meticulous in life in their early days so that they become competitive as per the need and demand of the government, statute and society.
CA. Kedar Kenkre & CA. Umang Agrawal respective Chairmans of Goa & Nagpur Branch both of them addressed the gathering in their opening remarks and praised each other for supporting the event and making the 3rd such joint national conference a successful venture.
CA. Pradip Lad & CA. Jiten Saglani respective Chairmans of WICASA of Goa & Nagpur congratulated the WICASA Team members & students for their whole hearted participation and efforts for making this conference a successful one. Both of them emphasized that students life is the best period wherein a student gets everything to learn, observe and participate. Making the best use of such invaluable time by participating in these kind of conferences adds real value to the career going forward.
The entire managing committee of Nagpur & Goa branch supported the event very well. CA. Abhijit Kelkar regional council member played a instrumental role in successfully organizing the event. CA. Kelkar as a regional council member of WIRC of ICAI is appointed in-charge of both Nagpur & Goa branches.
In all over 300 Chartered Accountancy Students from all over the Country participated in the conference.
