In ever growing incidents of molestation at market places being witnessed in city, a girl customer was put to shame by a garment trader. The trader caught hold of the girl customer’s hand, bashed her and later indulged in obscene actions. The accused even smashed mobile handset of the girl and held out a threat. The trader has been booked.
The 25-year old girl the other day went to the garment shop named Sara, situated near Anjuman College in Sadar for shopping purpose. While the girl was shopping, the accused trader Mukhtar Sheikh (around 40 years) suddenly caught hold of the girl customer’s hand, beat her up and also resorted to vulgar actions and thus molested the girl. The girl’s mobile handset was also smashed by the accused trader in a threatening posture.
Sadar API Sawant, acting on a complaint lodged by the girl, booked the accused garment trader Mukhtar Sheikh under Sections 354, 506, 427 of IPC and investigating the matter thoroughly.
