Garment manufacturer, Akramuddin Malik who was murdered using a pair of scissors

The deceased identified as Akramuddin Malik, 27, was brutally attacked with a pair of scissors which was recovered from the murder scene. Police suspect the handiwork of his workers in the crime as the workshop was locked from outside. The workers are reportedly absconding since the incident.

Akramuddin’s body was badly decomposed which indicated the crime could have been committed about 3 days back. He was living at a rented house along with his 24 year old wife Khushnuma and three sons. He allegedly left the home 4 days back to attend Urs ceremony at Taj Bagh and has been missing since then, and his phone too was switched off. When Akramuddin did not return even after 3 days days, worried Khushnuma set off in his search along with her brother in law (Akramuddin’s brother). Later she reached at Akramuddin’s work unit which was found locked. They felt foul smell from inside the workshop. As they broke open the lock they were shocked to find Akramuddin lying dead. His body was decomposed and smelling badly. They informed the matter to Yashodhara police who sent the body for postmortem at Mayo hospital.

Sources said the involvement of the workers at the unit could not be ruled out. However police are also digging into the other angle.
