Gang arrested in liquor shop loot case

Nagpur: Deputy Commisisoner of Police of Zone Five Harsh Poddar succeeded in arresting the criminals, who were accused of looting cash from a liquor shop by pointing a country-made pistolat the shop owner some one and a half months back. Police also seized the country-made pistol from the main accused, identified as Nishant alias Sonu Ramraj Vishwakarma (21), a resident of Kundanlal Gupta Nagar.

During patrolling, DCP Poddar’s team learnt that Sonu was possessing a country-made pistol. The team interrogated sonu and seized a country-made pistol, bullets and a dagger. On further questioning, Sonu confessed to looting a liquor shop in Kalamna on August 4. He also named Sagar Ramprasad Shrivas from Kalamna area, Gaurav Nankuram Sahu from Indira Nagar, Aniket Thakur from Binaki Jamdarwadi, and Pankaj Gupta and Vikas Sahu from Binaki Mangalwari as co-accused in the crime.

Police arrested all the accused and handed them over to Kalamna police. The action was taken by API OS Sontakke, PSI JItendra Thakur, Rajkumar Janbandhu, Mahesh Bawane, Pankaj Lande, Vinod Sontakke, Suraj Bharti, Pramod Wagh, Dinesh Yadav, Prabhakar Mankar, Ravindra Raut, and Mrudul Raut, under the guidance of DCP Poddar.
