GAMBITS Concludes at DPS MIHAN

GAMBITS, the two day Inter School Chess Competition concluded today with enthusiasm and nail biting finish. Mr. Shreyansh Kamdar was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. Ms. Tulika Kedia, President & Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road, Nagpur, and the Director Ms. Savita Jaiswal appreciated the chess players and congratulated them for their enthusiastic participation.

Ms. Anushka Deshpande from Somalwar High School Nikalas & Mast. Krishna Murkute from DPS Kamptee Road won the Gold Medal in U-11 category respectively.

In U-14 category, Miss. Aaradhya Rakhunde & Mast. Shaunak Badole from Narayana Vidyalayam won the Gold Medal. In U-16 category, Mast. Ayush Phating from Somalwar High School & Miss. Shraddha Bajaj from Narayana Vidyalayam won the Gold Medal in the boys & girls group respectively.

In the team events, Narayana Vidyalayam girls team and DPS Kamptee Road boys team won the Team Championship in U-11 category. The girls and boys of Narayana Vidyalayam emerged winners in U-14 category. In U-16 category, Somalwar High School Nikalas boys team and Narayana Vidyalayam girls team emerged victorious while DPS MIHAN girls and boys team were judged the runner-up.

Mr. Shreyansh Kamdar in his speech motivated the students to take up chess as it not only increases your concentration but also helps you to strategies and plan. Ms. Nidhi Yadav, Principal of DPS MIHAN in her welcome address appreciated their efforts to compete and play in sportsman spirit.
