Batter fried paneer, onions, tomatoes and capsicums make a delightful starter from north Indian cuisine.
Ingredients:
250 gms Paneer
4-5 big onions
6-7 big tomatos
3-4 big capsicum
500 gms yogurt
oil to fry
3-4 tbsp chat masala
3 tbsp coriander powder
3 tbsp cumin powder
3 tbsp red chilly powder
2 tbsp garam masala powder
2 lemon [juice]
salt to taste
200 gms Besan
Method:
Take curd in a big vessel add chat masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilly powder, garam masala, lemon juice salt and 2 tbsp oil and keep it aside.
Cut paneer, onion and capsicum in dices and put it into the marinade for sometime.
Make a paste of Besan [not so thin and not so thick] with a bit of salt and keep aside.
Soak toothpicks or satay sticks in water for 10 mins and arrange paneer, onion, tomato and capsicum into it.
Heat the oil in a kadhai, take the arranged toothpicks or satay sticks and dip it into basen paste and deep fry them.
Sprinkle chat masala on it.
Serve Hot with mint chutney and Enjoy.
