Nagpur:
Many city riders take the road and the other road users for granted. Many drive their two-wheelers as if the road is their own property and for them to try any stunt. In a freak accident that occurred on the busy Wardha Road near Sonegaon Police Station, while the rider of the two-wheeler had a providential escape, the two-wheeler got completely crushed under the heavy vehicle on October 8, 2015. It is reported that the two-wheeler rider and a woman sustained injuries that are being treated at GMCH. The names of the injured have been disclosed as Rohini Rajesh Deshmukh (35), resident of Sakkardara, and Shekhar Baburao Sakharkar, resident of Indora.

According to the eye-witnesses and other sources, the entire accident was a result of the efforts of a driver of the heavy trailer in saving the life of two-wheeler driver. The accident caused the busy Nagpur-Wardha Road to come to a stand-still on Thursday afternoon at about 3. Soon a serpentine line of stranded vehicles which had started lining-up behind one another was observed on one side of the road.

A hazy view of the crushed two-wheeler points out the registration number as MH-31/DQ 8434. One shudders to think as what could have been the fate of the two-wheeler rider or riders had the heavy trailer truck crushed them.

Sonegaon police have registered a case against both truck trailer diver and the two-wheeler rider.
