Frankfinn Institute refutes fraud charges, claims no FIR lodged


Nagpur: The authorities at Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training at Gorepeth have refuted the fraud charges leveled against them by some local people. The institute official has also denied any such FIR lodged in this regard.

It may be mentioned that high drama was witnessed the institute located on VIP Road after some students and their parents charged its management with defrauding them of lakhs of rupees. Demanding refund of the entire fees paid by them, students alleged that no proper training was being imparted to them at the institute since their admission.

Led by Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Workers’ Cell leader Sahil Sayyed and former City President of Rashtrawadi Mahila Congress Nutan Rewatkar, the students and their parents launched an agitation to press for the demand of fee refund. They charged that the institute took Rs 1.50 lakh from each student promising them job placement.

Rubbishing the allegations, Megha Vaidya, Centre Operation Manager at Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training Nagpur Centre has said that certain local vested interests in Nagpur hatched a conspiracy to irreparably damage the reputation of the Frankfinn Brand and disrupt the functioning of the Frankfinn Nagpur Centre.

In her letter issued to media on Saturday, Vaidya said, “Sahil Sayyed who claims himself to be the Vice President of the Nagpur wing of a political party along with his accomplices forcibly entered the Nagpur Centre and threatened the staff with threats of damage to property and life of staff in case if their demands are not met and they are not paid the money being demanded. They also hurled vulgar abuses to the staff present at the centre including the female staff.

She further wrote, Sayyed and his accomplices snatched the laptop of one of the female staff of Nagpur Centre. The Frankfinn staff yesterday called the police and only after arrival of the PCR van and intervention of the Police the Laptop could be returned to the female staff. The hooligans present there were projecting themselves as Frankfinn Students, who indeed were not the Frankfinn students. These fake so called Frankfinn students, levelled false allegations against the Institute.

She also said that Frankfinn has lodged a police complaint on 15th March, 2018 through its Centre Sales Manager, Mr. Rajendra Rajput, with Sitaburdi Police Station, Nagpur as well as with the office of DCP and Commissioner of Police, Nagpur.

Vaidya informed that on 15th March 2018, late in the evening, the local Nagpur Staff came to know that Sayyed and other co-conspirators and accomplices were planning to mobilize few more youths, whom they would portray as Frankfinn Students and would demonstrate yesterday outside Frankfinn Nagpur Centre by projecting them as Frankfinn Students. Early yesterday morning, Frankfinn has apprised the local Nagpur Police of the aforesaid plan/conspiracy of Mr. Sahil Sayyed and his co-conspirators/accomplices by lodging a Complaint with the Sitaburdi Police Station, Nagpur as well as with the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police and Commissioner of Police.

The institute conducts several dilploma and post-graduate diploma courses, including Aviation, Hospitality and Travel Management, Hospitality, and Travel and Customer Service, Airport Ground Services.
