FIR lodged against Frankfinn Institute

Nagpur: High drama was witness at Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training at Gorepeth on VIP Road after some students and their parents charged its management with defrauding them of lakhs of rupees. Demanding refund of the entire fees paid by them, students alleged that no proper training was being imparted to them at the institute since their admission. The institute conducts several dilploma and post-graduate diploma courses, including Aviation, Hospitality and Travel Management, Hospitality, and Travel and Customer Service, Airport Ground Services.


Led by Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Workers’ Cell leader Sahil Sayyed and former City President of Rashtrawadi Mahila Congress Nutan Rewatkar, the students and their parents launched an agitation to press for the demand of fee refund. They charged that the institute took Rs 1.50 lakh from each student promising them job placement.


Staff from Sitabuldi Police arrived at the institute on being informed. The institute’s staff allegedly agreed to refund 50 per cent of the fees. However, the students and their parents refused to accept the offer. Finally, the affected students and their parents lodged a complaint against the institute’s management with the police. Senior Inspector Hemantkumar Kharabe, In-charge of Sitabuldi Police Station, said that police would conduct an inquiry into the matter. Appropriate action would be initiated only after the inquiry, he added.
