Nagpur: Four members of a family on Saturday night attacked a man with sticks and spear and injured him seriously over old enmity. Two members of the family – father-son duo – have been arrested.
A dispute was running between the Gravkar family and the victim Lalit Ramdas Samudre (39), resident of Panchpaoli Thakkargram, near Durga Mata Mandir. On Saturday, around 10.30 pm, Lalit was returning home after attending a marriage reception. Even as Lalit was reaching his house, the four accused Bundela Shyamrao Gravkar (52), Rohit Bundela Gravkar (21), Chidiya alias Amol Gravkar and Chanchal Gravkar, all residents of same area, accosted him. After a heated argument over the dispute, the four accused family members attacked Lalit with sticks and a spear and inflicted serious injuries on him. The bleeding Lalit has been admitted to Mayo Hospital.
Jaripatka API Bhosale, based on statement of Lalit, booked the four accused under Sections 326, 504, 506, 34 of IPC and arrested Bundela Gravkar and Rohit Gravkar. Further probe is underway.
