Nagpur
: A seminar on forensic science and it’s use was organised today in Chitanwis center for the city police by Encops excellence center of Police department. Well known forensic expert and special director Gujarat (anti corruption bureau) Keshav Kumar had a dialog and guidance to the officials attending this seminar. K. Vyenkatesham, City police commissioner, Upper police commissioner, Asst. police commissioner, ACP, DCP and police officials were present on this occasion.

In order to learn the use of latest technology and excel the performance of the Nagpur city police many such seminars are being organised by City police commissioner. For this the Encops center was set up some days ago, which has organised todays seminar.

Keshav Kumar explored the five main methods of investigation. In this Psychological base investigation (PBI), Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature (BSOSP), Narco analysis, Lie detector test and Level Voice Analysis methods are included. He explained this methods with examples and live demo. Alongside he told that when he was in CBI, using this methods many accused were found guilty like in Bhanwari Devi case in Rajasthan and 3 Tigers hunting case in Tadoba.

Despite the accused were agreed that they have hunted 3 tigers three years ago but no physical evidence was there to prove this for six long years. Then a Tiger’s bone buried under a tree claimed their guilt in the forensic report. Investigation remains incomplete due to lack of evidence many times, and there are many interruptions because the witness also denies the truth. That’s why this method was invented. Police’s job is not only to seek the guilty but also to do justice with the innocent.

If this latest technology is used frequently then the rate of crime determination will raise to 45 to 50 % from 28%. As the use of 3rd degree method will be lessened in upcoming days, so this methods will prove very handy and effective then, said Keshav Kumar. Police Commissioner informed that 30 police shipoy would be sent to Gujarat for training in 15 days. Krushnakant compared the program and the vote of thanks was given by hon. city police commissioner.
