Nagpur: Exploiting to the optimum the popular adage ‘Dancing is a part of fitness regimen’ among fitness-freaks, the organizers of the event Dance to Fitness held on June 15, 2015 in Nagpur enumerated the concept well. It was a dance show organized by Pavan’s Dance Academy-Active-art, Active-fitness. Participants from all age groups participated in the event with a renewed enthusiasm and vigour. Their moves and steps invoked and displayed energy and zest while showcasing their talents on the dance floor. The seniors displayed their ‘Jalwa’ before an audience that was left asking for more.

The show started with a promotional video of an upcoming film ‘Mike’ to the audience. This was followed by Lalla lalla lori from the latest Bollywood Hindi movie ‘Welcome to Karachi’.

The seniors had transfixed the audience with their well-rehearsed steps and moves. Not lagging behind, the little ones left no stone-unturned in their efforts to make their parents cheer loudly for them. The kids too seemed to be full of enthusiasm as if they were saying: ‘Hum kisise kam nahi’.

The performers from the senior group, attired in black and neon-green dress had set the stage on fire with their outstanding performance on the song ‘Arey Rukh Ja Re Bandhe’ focusing on the theme of the selfish behavior of man towards the environment.

In these times of rat race where everybody is busy chasing a high in their careers and even while pursuing their own pleasures and entertainment, they are insensitive towards the feelings and pain others go through. This was beautifully elicited in their performance which the audience simply loved and was absolutely overwhelmed.

The piece-de-resistance was the breath-taking duet performance by John and Rashi Dhahate on the beautiful song ‘Khamoshiyan’. Their performance had the audience stunned and mesmerized with their perfect lifts and moves. The audiences were totally engrossed in their performance from the beginning to the end.

The event ended with the chief organizer of the event, Ketki addressing the audience. While elaborating the journey of the Academy, she claimed that the academy started 6 years back. She added that they organize this kind of dance shows every year. The reason behind the show is that they want to convey the message that dance, is not only an art form or entertainment but a means of therapy too.

The Managing Director of the Academy Pavan Mangoli thanked the parents for sending their children in the Dance Academy. He claimed that the next year they may organize the show in a bigger hall. He added that with the un-healthy life-style we are living, proper exercise and being fit is the only main mantra to live a happy and healthy life. On the whole, the event was amazing and entertaining. The joint efforts of everyone in the academy made the show a successful one.
