Five brothers assault man with knives over property dispute in Panchpaoli

Nagpur: A property dispute turned bloody when five brothers assaulted a man and his younger sibling with sharp-edged weapons in their own house in Panchpaoli area. The five accused also threatened to kill other members of the family. The incident took place in the midnight of Friday.

The complainant Dheeraj Motiram Moryani (35), resident of Plot No. 28, ‘Moryani Homevilla,’ Kashmiri Galli, in Panchpaoli area, told police that when he and his family members were present in their house, the five accused Indar Ratwani, Latesh Ratwani, Hitesh Ratwani and their two other brothers forcibly entered into his (Dheeraj’s) house and started quarrelling over a property dispute.

The wordy duel soon turned bloody when the accused five brothers attacked Dheeraj and his younger brother (25) with sharp-edged weapons and inflicted stab injuries on them. The five brothers also threatened to kill other members of Dheeraj’s family over the property matter.

Based on Dheeraj’s complaint, Panchpaoli PSI Gangakachur booked the accused five brothers under Sections 143, 147, 149, 323, 324, 448, 504, 506 of IPC and launched a thorough investigation into the case.
