Five accused booked for demanding extortion demand of Rs 20, 0000/- from scrap dealer

Nagpur: Five accused have been booked for demanding an extortion demand of Rs 20,000/- from a scrap dealer in Ajni area on December 6, 2016.

According to police sources, the victim Karan Ramdulare Pal aged 28 years and a resident of Sneh Nagar, Wardha Road was in the scrap dealership business. He had a contract from Nagpur Municipal Corporation to pick garbage.

On December 6, 2016 accused 1. Pankaj Zhade aged 36 years and a resident of Sitanagar, 2. Sudhir Hadke aged 39 years and a resident of Rahul Nagar, 3. Dharam Majhi a resident of Ashirwad Nagar, 4. Maruti Singade a resident of Sanjay Gandhi Khadan and 5. Sanjay Banode a resident of Pandrapodi had gone to the godown of the victim Karan Ramdulare Pal situated at Saket Nagar. The accused went on to shout obscene abuses and then threatened to kill him if he does not give them an extortion amount of Rs 20,000/- per week.

After the accused left the spot, a much shaken Karan Pal went to Ajni Police Station and lodged a complaint. The cops of Ajni Police Station have registered a case of demand for extortion against the accused.

The cops of Ajni Police Station have also arrested accused Pankaj Zhade and Sudhir Hadke. A hunt is on to find the absconding accused.
