Fitoor: Meet Tabu as Begum Hazrat in Abhishek Kapoor’s next

Charles Dickens’ popular character Miss Havisham from his classic novel The Great Expectations has got an Indian makeover. Director Abhishek Kapoor, who is gearing up for his next release Fitoor, has made Tabu step into the shoes of Miss Havisham for the Indian screen adaptation of the classic.

Red hair, bob cut and heavy costume, Tabu pulls off the classy look in Fitoor. The 44-year-old actor will play the role of Begum Hazrat in the romantic drama. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the first look of Tabu in the film.

Tabu replaced Rekha in Fitoor, after the veteran actor decided to opt out of the film. This is the first time that Tabu has collaborated with Abhishek Kapoor for a film. Kapoor also took to Twitter to share a poster from the film. Ever since Tabu was roped in the film, the Haider actor has up the curiosity level.

Starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, Fitoor is a love story set in Kashmir. The film will have Kaif playing Firdaus, while Kapur will portray the character of Noor. Buzz has it that Kapur will portray three distinctive looks in Fitoor.

The love saga also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt. It is set to hit the screens on February 12, 2016.
