    Fire breaks out at watchman’s house on Great Nag Road, no casualty

    Nagpur: A fire broke out in the house of a watchman near Tata Car Showroom situated on Great Nag Road causing damage to property. However, no casualty was reported.

    Fire Brigade received a call around 10.30 am on Saturday informing it about the fire in the one-room house of Krushna Raut who has been deployed as watchman by the plot owner Atul Joshi. The fire broke out in the puja room of the house probably due to the oil lamps. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control. Being a busy road, onlookers gathered at the spot in large number causing hardships to firefighting operation. A team of policemen was also deployed to avert any untoward incident.

    The Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Uchke informed that the fire was brought under control with the help of three fire tenders. Probe is underway to ascertain the exact cause of fire. Even though property was damaged there were no reports of any casualty, Uchke said.
