Mumbai: A fire broke out at a famous sweet shop in Malad area on Tuesday morning. At least 12 fire tenders were at the spot to douse the raging flames, an initial report suggested. There was no report of any casualty at the time of filing this report.
The fire erupted in a shop at Gupta Market behind MM hotel at Malad railway station at around 7:00 am. Along with fire tenders, one ambulance was also rushed to the spot. “Fire broke out at MM Mithaiwala in Malad near Malad Station. Our staff and Fire Brigade is on the spot for assistance,” Mumbai Police tweeted.
The officials added that the cause of the fire is unknown and a rescue operation is underway. Further details were awaited.
