Female Infant Found Abandoned on Manawta School Grounds in Ajni, Nagpur

Nagpur: A female infant was discovered Tuesday morning within the premises of Manawta School in the Ajni area.

According to police sources, the school grounds also include several residential homes. A local resident reportedly heard what he initially believed to be a cat crying at around 5 am on Wednesday, but upon hearing the sound again an hour later, he investigated and found an abandoned baby near a narrow passage behind his house.

Residents immediately notified the Ajni Police, who promptly arrived to rescue the baby girl.
