Nagpur: A father-son duo and their four accomplices attacked and thrashed a man and his wife for protesting lewd phone calls to their daughter by one of the accused. The accused also pelted stones and vandalised two-wheeler and four-wheeler. The incident took place in Hudkeshwar area here on Tuesday evening.
A resident of Plot No. 81, Shriram Nagar, near Pyramid City, Dinesh Khemlal Hanwate (39), in his complaint told police that one of the accused Akshay Vasant Kadu (21), resident of Plot No. 6, Shriram Nagar, pestered his daughter with lewd phone calls. Subsequently, Dinesh called the accused Akshay Kadu and tried to prevail upon him with a warning. But instead of heeding the warning, the accused Akshay Kadu, his father Vasant Kadu and their four accomplices gathered in front of Dinesh’s house and attacked him and his wife. The accused also pelted stones at Dinesh’s house and vandalised his two-wheeler and four-wheeler.
Hudkeshwar API Purbhe, based on complaint of Dinesh Hanwate, booked all the accused under Sections 294, 323, 324, 504, 427, 143, 147, 149 of the IPC and arrested one of the accused Akshay Vasant Kadu. Further investigations are on.
