Nagpur: Kalamna Police in Nagpur arrested one Nandkumar Siyaram Chakole (41) and his son Karan Nandkumar Chakole (21) and booked a juvenile delinquent for allegedly murdering a youth and seriously injuring two others during a confrontation over financial dealings on Sunday night in the city.
The deceased, identified as Tahir alias Baba Jakir Khan (22), was a resident of Gulshan Nagar. The injured victims, Deepak Biharilal Misriya (25), a resident of Yashodhara Nagar, and Ishwar alias Patel Keshav Nishad (21), a resident of Plot No 128, Vaishno Devi Nagar, old Kamptee Road, were rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
According to police, the incident took place around 9.30 pm near Vijay Nagar Garden, where Tahir, Deepak, and Ishwar met Arjun Chakole to demand repayment of Rs 20,000 he owed them. The situation escalated when Nandkumar, Karan, both residents of Nagraj Chowk, Vijay Nagar, and the juvenile intervened, leading to a heated argument.
During the ensuing scuffle, the accused allegedly attacked Tahir with a sharp-edged weapon and a stick, resulting in serious injuries. Deepak and Ishwar were also injured in the incident. Tahir succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning at Bhavani Hospital.
Following injured Ishwar’s statement, police registered a case under Sections 103, 109,115(2),189(2), 189(4), 191(2), 191(3), 190 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita against Nandkumar and Karan and were taken into custody.
Further investigations by Kalamna Police are underway in the matter.
