Nagpur: A pervert father-son duo wreaked havoc with a 29-year old woman who was exploited sexually and blackmailed by the son. And when the victimised woman went to his father to apprise him about heinous acts of his son, he crudely told her to commit suicide by consuming poison. Both the father-son duo has been arrested.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mayur Taksande (29) and his father Prakash Taksande(69), both residents of Kanfade Nagar, Hindustan Colony, Wardha Road.
The complainant woman told Dhantoli police that she knew the accused Mayur since the past few years. One day Mayur called her to his residence and raped her. The accused also prepared a video clip of the heinous act and threatened to kill her parents if she opened her mouth. The accused Mayur also blackmailed her by threatening to upload the video clip on social media. With these blackmailing words, he forced her to give him Rs 20,000 and Rs 40,000 at different times.
Since then, the accused took her to different places and raped her between June 2013 and March 2017. Fed up with the frequent sexual exploitation and blackmail, she decided to apprise parents of Mayur about his devilish acts. One day she went to their house in Kanfade Nagar. But instead of helping her, Mayur’s father Prakash Taksande tormented her mentally and told her to commit suicide by consuming poison. The accused Prakash Taksande also demanded Rs 2 lakh from her if she wanted the video clip handed over to her. Prakash also threatened to kill other family members of the woman if she failed to part with the money.
Fed-up with the constant torture by Mayur and his parents, she attempted suicide by consuming poison. Ajni Police also received a medico-legal report (MLC) from the hospital where she was admitted but did not record her statement for reasons best known to them. On the basis of the victim’s complaint, Dhantoli Woman PSI Waghade booked the accused father-son duo Prakash and mayor Taksande under Sections 376(C), 387, 504, 506 and34 of the IPC and arrested them. Further investigations are under way.
