Sudhir Mungatiwar while addressing the gathering said, he along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government is pleased to have been able to fulfill party’s pre-election promise of abolishing LBT if came to power .

He said, traders are an important segment of society which can not be ignored, and he as well as the state government is committed to ensure that the tax structure is kept simple and revenue generators are dealt with due respect by tax authorities . He also mentioned that he was hopeful that shortly GST would be implemented in state. He further added that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision the state government was working on creating conducive atmosphere by curbing ‘inspector raj’ so as that doing business in state eased and for that many laws are to be amended and he shall do the needful at the earliest.

Lastly, he appealed to the traders to always resolve issues through dialogue and he shall always be available for that.

Dipen Agrawal while addressing the gathering appealed to the Finance Minister to consider the just demand of traders to fully do away with LBT and let this very word ‘ LBT ‘ be completely struck off from the tax books of the state. Though granting relief to almost 98.80% of traders across the state was welcome but continuing LBT for above Rs 50 crore turn over is creating price disparity and unnecessary competition in the markets and is also affecting the concept of ‘Ease of doing bussiness in state, ‘ he said.
