Nagpur News : Gittikhadan police had received a tip off from their source that one Son Meshram who had been externed from Hudkeshwar area is now staying at Joras Colony, Katol Road, Nagpur as tenant of Sandhya Diwakar Bhaisare. It was also learnt that he was having a pistol and rounds. After getting the information police personnel cordoned off the house. When he was accosted and given introduction of panchas, he gave his name as Sohan alias Ellya Meshram, 26, a resident of, plot no. 18, Vithalwadi, Hudkeshwar Road and presently residing at the house of Bhaisare.
In the physical search of his house, a pistol and 19 live rounds were recovered from beneath his bed. The material is collectively valued at Rs 19,500
The offence under Arms Act and Bombay Police Act has been registered against Son Meshram at Gittikhadan police station as offence no. 3478/14.
The action was carried out under the guidance of senior police inspector, Sunil Bonde by police inspector, MV Bhate, R J Patil, police sub-inspector, Baghele, Ramesh Chikhale, Sanjay Tiwari, police constable, Sunil Diwate, Pradeep Pawar, Ankush Rathod, Vinod Gaikwad and Yogesh Bondre.
