Extension of due date for tax audit

Nagpur: A discussion has been going on at very large scale all over India. So the all India President of ICAI has informed the Professional Colleague of Chartered accountants that the continuous efforts for the cause of extension of due date. The body informed that the Writ has been filed in Bombay High Court by Chamber of Tax Consultants on September 22, 2015.
With reference to writ petition filed in Delhi, on September 21, 2015, Delhi High Court has issued directions to be CBDT to notify IT forms on or before 1st day of assessment year.

However, no direction has been given regarding extension of due date. In regard to writs filled in Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana High Courts, the next hearing is fixed for September 24, 2015. Writs for the same cause have also been filled in Rajasthan and Karnataka High Courts.

President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Manoj Fadnis for the year 2015-16 (elected by the 22nd Council of the Institute) on February 12, 2015 will be meeting Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today to explain the problems caused by CBDT and to obtain relief in this regard.
