Nagpur: In an astonishing incident, a desperado or more targeted an electrical shop and decamped with cash of Rs 2.5-3 lakh and costly goods of uncertain value. The daring burglary reported on ever busy Central Avenue Road on Friday sparked panic across business community and put cops in a tizzy. The burgled shop is Tirupati Electrical and Industrial Agency situated at 76, Central Avenue Road, behind Sidharth Hotel. The street is hub of a wide range of business and commercial activity.

The startling fact that came to the fore is that the miscreants managed to bend and break open the locks of steel shutter without coming into notice on the busy thoroughfare and made good their escape with the booty.

Tirupati Electrical and Industrial Agency is owned by Rajesh Agrawal residing near Gitanjali Talkies on CA Road. On Thursday night, Rajesh closed his shop as usual and went home. But Friday morning was not as usual when Rajesh arrived at his shop to open it. To his dismay, he found locks of steel shutter smashed and a cash of Rs 2.5-3 lakh kept in drawer missing.

Other costly goods were also stolen. However, the CCTV camera installed at the shop captured the action of the burglar. Rajesh Agrawal immediately alerted Tehsil Police Station about the daring theft.

A team of cops reached the shop and started investigation.
