Elderly man tricked by own family members and sanctions loan of Rs 1.46 cr; one arrested

In a well plotted fraud, members of Sharma family prepared fake documents and sanctioned loan of Rs Rs 1.46 crore on the name of an elderly man. A youth has been arrested in this regard.

According to information, Arun Navrang Sharma (51), a resident of Plot No. 16, Pawan Shakti Nagar, Wathoda, owns a house ‘Navrang Niwas’ near Uday Nagar Square, Plot No. 17, 24. The accused Bindeshwar Navrangi Sharma, Prem Bindeshwar Sharma (29), a resident of Uday Nagar Square, Navang Niwas with the help of Bank staff prepared fake documents on Arun’s name. The accused then presented Shankar Laxmannarayan Sharma as Arun and sanctioned a loan of Rs 1.46 crore.

Realising the fraud, Arun lodged a complaint with Hudkeshwar Police station who have registered an offence under Sections 419, 406, 420, 468, 465, 471, and 34 of the IPC. Cop started their investigations and arrested Prem in this regard.
