Elderly man killed in road mishap in Hingna

A 65-year old man was killed when the moped he was riding was hit by a recklessly driven vehicle near Peth village on Nagpur-Amravati Road in Hingna police jurisdiction. The driver of the killer vehicle has been arrested.

The deceased Sheshrao Ramaji Bepari (65), resident of Trimurti Nagar, was going on his moped (MH-31/DY 8724) on Nagpur-Amravati Road on Sunday. Around 6 pm, a rashly driven vehicle (MH-27/AC 1744) hit Sheshrao’s moped with forceful impact. He suffered critical injuries and died on the spot.

On being informed, a team of Hingna cops led by PSI Dhanorkar reached the spot and sent body of Sheshrao to government hospital for autopsy.

The driver Mangesh Rajendra Toram (28), native of Amravati, was booked under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC read with Sub-Section 184 of Motor Vehicles Act.
