Nagpur: Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal is taking out Prabhat Pheri on the occasion of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti celebrations.
After the Prabhat Pheri, Adv. Madhavdas Mamtani narrated an incident. On the banks of river Narmada, there lived a Brahmin boy, Kartesh in Devtas village. He was very learned, but was full of anger and ego. He had acquired many powers by meditation. He misused those powers by torturing common people. Once, Devarshi Naarad passed by that place when he saw Kartesh who looked like a demon and smelled very badly.
Naarad said to him, “If you consider yourself to be very powerful, then break my Veena. Otherwise you will have to be my disciple.” Egoistic Kartesh used all his powers but could not break the Veena and bowed in front of him. It was Kartik month. Naarad asked him to bathe early in the morning at 4 am and asked him to worship the Almighty. He woke up at 4 am during the entire Kartik month and worshipped God thereafter. He also asked others to follow this practice. Within one month, he became a good person. Then Naaradji blessed him by addressing him as “Guru Kaankad”.
Addressing the public in thousands, Adv. Mamtani said that mostly common poor man has a feeling that had Almighty given him money, he also would have donated in crores. Adv. Mamtani said that nature has given equal opportunity to rich as well as poor. Our Shastras state that one who bathes 3 hrs before the sunrise and does Hari Kirtan/Simran gets the benefit of donating 1.25 mann (50 kg) gold.
He who takes a bath 1 hrs 36 minutes before sunrise and does Hari Kirtan/Simran gets the benefit of donating 1.25 mann (50 kg) Silver. If the person bathes 24 minutes before sunrise, he gets the benefit of 1.25 mann (50 kg) milk donation and if he takes a bath at the time of sunrise, he gets a benefit of donating 1.25 mann (50 kg) water. Hari Kirtan/Simran is a must. Taking bath after sunrise is just for purification of the body. Adv. Mamtani therefore advised the devotees to follow the donation benefit scheme offered by nature.
Today around 5000- 7,000 people participated in the Prabhat Pheri. Various religious, social, political, panchayats and prominent personalities are participating with utmost devotion. Corporator Virendra Kukreja, Ghanshyamdas Kukreja, Suresh Jagyasi, Puneet Poddar-Bhushan Gupta, Pappu Kewaleramani, Rohit Yadav etc. participated and obtained blessings of Guru Maharaj.
