Nagpur: Ajni Police have arrested a 20-year-old youth for allegedly threatening the owner of Swarg Beer Bar under the influence of liquor here, on Wednesday night.
The accused has been identified as Anurag Vinod Dubey (20), a resident of Shivshakti Nagar, Ajni.
According to police sources, the complainant, Anshul Shakarlaal Hemrajani (30), a resident of Bhim Chowk, Jaripatka, owns Swarg Beer Bar in the Ajni area. On Wednesday night, Dubey had entered the bar to enjoy liquor. However, at around 9 p.m. while leaving, when the owner asked about the bill, Dubey reportedly replied, “Don’t you know me?” and hurled abuses at Hemrajani. When the matter escalated, Dubey then reportedly whisked out a knife from his pocket and threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
Following the complaint, cops have registered an offense under Sections 294 and 506 of the IPC read with Sections 4/25 of the Indian Arms Act and placed him under arrest
