Nagpur: A drunkard man stabbed his wife repeatedly with a vegetable cutting knife and injured her seriously following a quarrel in Hudkeshwar police area on Thursday night. Condition of the woman is reportedly stable.
The victim, Komal Rajendraprasad Shahu (30), resident of Plot No. 30, Pawar Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road, said that her husband, Rajendraprasad Ramkumar Shahu (35), came home under influence of liquor around 10.45 pm on Thursday. He picked up a quarrel with his wife as usual over an issue or another. During the wordy duel, the accused husband picked up a vegetable cutting knife and attacked Komal. He stabbed her repeatedly, injuring her seriously.
Hudkeshwar PSI Pachole, based on Komal’s complaint, booked the accused Rajendraprasad Shahu under Sections 323, 324, 504 of the IPC read with Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
