In what could be mentioned as unbelievable, the dead body of a dreaded goon who has many cases of murder registered against him in various police-stations was found in mysterious circumstances in a house in Venketesh City.
Sources said that the dead body is in a stage of decomposition since his dead body was discovered two day later i.e. on June 28, 2014. Those who saw the dead body said that blood had oozed out of his nose. He was found in a house in D Block-No 214 in Venketesh City near KDK College in a house which was rented by him and he was living for the past three months. A bottle of liquor and a glass was also found from the house.
The neighbors noticed a foul smell emanating from the flat for the past two days, so they sent their watchman to the Nandanvan Police Station. A Charlie Commando accompanied the watchman and when they broke the door, noticed the dead body of Zakir Pathan.
Sources also revealed that he had committed suicide since the door was locked from within. However, others who knew him to be a dreaded goon said that he would never commit suicide. A goon who was notorious and known for his cruel ways would never commit suicide. They opined that certainly somebody must have fed him some food laced with poison.
Sources said that Zakir Bashir Pathan was known to have been penalized under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) and Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA Act) too. Zakir was also known to be involved in land-mafia, supari-murders etc. He was said to lead a gang of goons too.
At the time of writing the report, senior police officials had reached the spot and were investigating the matter. There is a wave of fear that is running through the goons of the city. Inter-gang rivalry could result in gang wars, opined some sources.
The Nandanwan Police have sent the body for post-mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital after the panchanama and has registered a case of accidental death. Only the post-mortem report would reveal the exact cause of death.
