Nagpur: A group of assailants have brutally murdered a dreaded goon named Kartik Tevar in the pitch dark near Panchgaon (Dongargaon) during the midnight of Sunday. The local crime branch at Kuhi police station has arrested 3-4 people in connection with the murder. The reasons behind the murder was not immediately known, however it is learnt that the murder was the fallout of the heated exchange that took place at the birthday party of deceased’s friend last night.
Among the arrested accused, Ashish Moharkar and one Goldy were prime suspect behind the murder.
Deceased Kartik Tevar was reportedly a history sheeter in crime records. A couple of cases including murder, kidnapping and extortion were registered against him. Tevar was one of the accused in the Monty Bhullar murder case, in which Bhullar was shot dead outside Great Maratha Hotel on Hingna MIDC road, few year ago. His name also appeared in the kidnapping of famed bookie Ajay Raut.

Sources have suspected gangwar in the aftermath of the murder. Tevar was said to be close to gangster Raju Bhadre, Diwakar Kotulwar.
Meanwhile, police were investigating the matter.
